From Mrs. Anger’s receipt book. Miss Anstey can remember her grandmother making it and giving it to an invalid in small teaspoonfuls.

Ingredients

Put all the ingredients together in a saucepan.
Place over the fire and dissolve slowly
Put into moulds brushed over with almond oil (which may be bought from a chemist).
