Mushrooms with Anchovy Cream

  • Rounds of bread about 2 inches across
  • mushrooms
  • anchovies 9 or 10

Method

  1. Cut some rounds of bread about 1 inch thick and 2 inches in diameter.
  2. Fry them a golden brown.
  3. Broil some mushrooms and put one on each piece of fried bread.
  4. Wash 9 or 10 anchovies.
  5. Chop them.
  6. Rub them through a sieve.
  7. Whip the cream.
  8. Mix the anchovies with it, season with a little pep
