Ingredients

  • The roes from 8 herrings
  • water
  • Patna rice ½ teacup (

Method

  1. Cook the roes in water.
  2. Drain.
  3. Cook rice as for curry.
  4. Moisten curry powder with water to a paste.
  5. And fry in butter a few minutes.
  6. Add rice and roe, etc., and cook for a few minutes.
  7. Add a little milk if too stiff.
  8. Serve on dry toast.
