Ingredients
- Water 3½ gallons
- bruised ginger 3 oz.
- lemons
Method
- Bruise the ginger and boil it for ½ hour in water.
- Wash the lemons and slice them and put them in a pan.
- Add the cream of tartar and the sugar broken up.
- Strain the ginger-flavoured water over the lemons, etc.
- When lukewarm work (i.e. ferment) it with the yeast put on a piece of toast.
- Let it stand 2 nigh
