  • Butter 10 oz.
  • castor sugar 6 oz.
  • plain flour

Method

  1. Cream the butter.
  2. Then add sugar and cream again.
  3. Sift the flour, cream of tartar, carbonate of soda, salt and nutmeg together.
  4. Mix them into the creamed butter and sugar.
  5. Prepare the fruit and mix that in.
  6. Whisk the eggs well.
  7. Add the brandy.
  8. And with them mix the cake.
