  • Plain flour ½ lb.
  • lard 3 oz.
  • sugar

Method

  1. Rub the lard into the flour.
  2. Add all the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix well and make up with the egg and milk.
  4. Bake as above in a moderately hot oven.
