Ingredients

  • Oatmeal (medium) lb.
  • treacle 1 lb.
  • brown sugar<

Method

  1. Mix the dry ingredients together.
  2. Heat the treacle and butter sufficiently to melt the latter.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Leave to stand all night.
  5. Next day put into a shallow baking tin (well greased) and bake in a cool oven for about 2 hours. It is done when the parkin springs back when an impression is made with the finger.
