Ingredients
- Fine oatmeal 1 lb.
- baking powder 2 dessertspoons
- lard
Method
- Rub the lard into the oatmeal.
- Mix in the baking powder, spices and ginger.
- Take the lid off a tin of syrup or treacle and warm tin till the treacle runs.
- Mix it with the oatmeal into a stiff mixture.
- Put into a greased dripping tin and bake in the centre of a moderate oven.
