Ingredients

  • Fine flour, well dried, 4 lb.
  • fresh butter 4 lb
  • loaf sugar

Method

  1. Work the butter with your hand to a cream.
  2. Beat in your sugar for 15 minutes.
  3. Beat the whites of the eggs to a very strong froth.
  4. Mix them with your sugar and butter.
  5. Beat the yolks for 30 minutes at least.
  6. Add them.
  7. Then put in your flour, mace and nutmeg, keep beating it well until your oven i
