Ingredients

  • Sloes 1 gallon
  • boiling water 1 gallon
  • lump sugar

Method

  1. Pour the boiling water on the sloes.
  2. When cool enough for the hands, mash them well up.
  3. Let them stand one day.
  4. Strain on to the sugar.
  5. Boil the sliced lemon in a little water and add it.
  6. Let it stand until the sugar is melted.
  7. Then put it into the barrel; and
