  • Water 1 gallon
  • damsons 1 gallon

Method

  1. Boil the water and pour on the damsons which must be well bruised.
  2. Let them stand 8 or 9 days, stirring every day.
  3. Strain off.
  4. Add 3½ lb. sugar.
