  • Water 1 gallon
  • dandelion heads 3 quarts
  • sugar

Method

  1. Boil the dandelions in the water for ½ hour.
  2. Strain them from the liquor.
  3. Add the sugar and ginger to the latter.
  4. Boil with lemon and orange peel for ½ hour.
  5. Put in crock or tub to cool, add lemon and orange juice.
  6. When cool enough, put a little yeast on toast, and leave to work (or ferment).
