Ingredients

  • Cold water 4 gallons
  • root ginger ½ lb.
  • lump sugar

Method

  1. Bruise the ginger.
  2. Chop the raisins finely.
  3. Wash the lemons and oranges and dry and slice them.
  4. Put altogether in a crock with the sugar.
  5. Then add the cold water, stir every day for a week.
  6. Bung down.
  7. Will be fit for use in 9 months.
