  • Green Gooseberries 1 gallon
  • cold water 2 gallons
  • sugar

Method

  1. Take your gooseberries before they be over-ripe.
  2. Bruise them in a wooden bowl, but not too small lest you bruise the seeds.
  3. Then measure them – to every gallon of bruised berries put 2 gallons of cold water.
  4. Stir them well together
