Ingredients

  • Water 1 gallon
  • raisins 5 lb.
  • brandy 1

Method

  1. Pick the raisins from their stalks and pull in two.
  2. Let them steep in water for a fortnight stirred every day.
  3. Then pour off the liquor and squeeze the juice out of the raisins.
  4. Put the liquor into a barrel which will just hold it, for it must be quite full.
