Method

    This dish is served at breakfast on Christmas Day in the Isle of Man. The receipt has been very kindly given by Mrs. W. Cashen, of Peel.

  1. Put some oatmeal in a pan on the fire, and
  2. Keep stirring till it is dry and crisp.
  3. Then skim the top of the broth pot on to it and stir well.
  4. Eat with pepper and salt.
