THIS HAS THE PURE INTENSE CHOCOLATE HIT OF A CLASSIC BROWNIE, WITHOUT ANY NUTS OR DRIED FRUIT AS A DISTRACTION. THE VANILLA SALT ADDS A DELICATE TOUCH AND IS A GOOD FOIL FOR THE SWEET CHOCOLATE; IT’S A PAIRING I WAS INTRODUCED TO IN SPAIN.

Ingredients

Chocolate Brownie:

  • 210 g butter, plus extra to grease the tin
  • 320 g good-quality dark chocolate

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/Gas 4. Grease a 20cm square baking tin and line with baking parchment, leaving a slight overhang on each side to act as handles. Grease the parchment with butter.
