Wash the asparagus thoroughly and peel off the bottom end of stems with a hand peeler if they seem woody. Using sharp knife cut an “X” vertically from the bottom to about ⅓ of the way up the stalk.
Place asparagus in a flat Pyrex pan. Whisk the butter, oil, honey, pepper, salt and lemon juice in a small bowl. Pour this mixture over the asparagus and allow stalks to marinate for 15 minut
