Serve the kebabs on a bed of fresh lettuce, radicchio and sliced onion.
In a large pot over high heat, boil the onions in 3 to 4 cups of water, until the outside layer is tender when pierced with a fork, approximately 10 minutes, then drain.
Put another 3-4 cups of water in pot and boil potatoes over high heat until they are tender, approximately 10 to 15 minutes, drain, then cut them in half.
