In a medium sized saucepan, combine all ingredients except the liquid smoke. Bring to a boil, over high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and simmer gently, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add liquid smoke. Stir for 2-3 minutes. Let cool and use on meat, poultry, game or vegetables.
