Recipe learned by watching a cook in the kitchen of the Grand Hyatt Hotel on lovely, tropical, Cheju Do island in Korea.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3-4 cloves

Method

In a small saucepan, over low heat, combine the soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and ginger, and stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and add the remaining ingredients.

This is a super marinade or basting sauce for Tri-tip, beef for sandwiches, and beef ribs. You can use this as a marinade, baste or serving sauce. But since there is sugar in this sauce you can only use it to baste d
