This recipe is an old favorite, very similar to scoop net fried crab, but with water, bacon, and some extra cooking added.

Ingredients

  • 3 strips bacon
  • 2 cups crabmeat (lump and claw)
  • 1

Method

Fry the bacon in a skillet. In a bowl, combine the crabmeat, onion, bell pepper, and celery. Set the bacon aside and fry the crab and vegetable mixture in the drippings in the skillet, stirring often, until the crab begins to brown. Crumble the bacon and add to the skillet, along with ½ cup hot water.
