Method

Omit the peanut-sesame filling and replace with twenty ½-inch-square chunks of brown slab sugar. In step 5, instead of flattening the dough into a thin disk, simply push one sugar chunk into the center of each dough piece and roll between your palms to make a smooth ball. When cooking, after the balls float, cook about 5 minutes longer.
