When I was growing up my mother used to make thin sliced beef steaks she called alia pizzaiolo, because the sauce was reminiscent of a popular pizza topping: tomatoes, capers, olives, and oregano. You are not likely to find chicken in my parents’ house, as my father is not fond of fowl, but I’ve discovered the sauce is a perfect accompaniment for chicken breast fillets.
