This version of kasha makes a great breakfast cereal or light dairy supper. Fat-free half-and-half is manufactured by the Land O’ Lakes Company and can be found at most supermarkets.


  • 1 cup kasha
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 cups hot water


  1. Prepare the kasha as described above.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon.

  3. Serve the kasha in bowls, pouring half-and-half over each serving and sprinkling with cinnamon-sugar.
