Jicama is a low-calorie vegetable that is crisp and delicious. It’s wonderful served as a light appetizer or snack. The chili powder and lime juice give it a spark.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium jicama, peeled and sliced into thin wedges
  • cup (80 ml) fresh lime juice

Method

  1. Place the jicama wedges in a large mixing bowl. Add the lime juice and gently toss to combine. Set aside.
  2. Mix together the chili powder and salt in a small bowl.
  3. Dip the inner edge of each wedge into the chili-salt mixture and arrange on a platter. Serve chilled.
