My sister-in-law Seonag is half Swedish, half Hebridean. Bra is the Swedish for good, with braw being the Scots version of the same word. Seonag’s twist on the traditional Swedish cinnamon bun will definitely leave you exclaiming how ‘good-good’ they are!
Combine the flour, yeast, sugar, salt and cardamom in a bowl. Melt the butter and add lukewarm milk to the dry ingredients a little at a time until you get a nice soft dough. Knead for 10 minutes then leave for an hour or until the dough doubles in size.
After the dough has doubled in size, knock it back – use the heels of your hands or fist until it is smooth and all the air is knocked
