Known in Gaelic as Marag Dhubh, Stornoway Black Pudding is made from beef suet, oatmeal, onion, blood, salt and pepper. The most famous (and my favourite) is from Charles MacLeod Butchers in Stornoway, locally known as Charlie Barleys. Their original farm was at Crobeag; the croft house I was born in overlooked Crobeag, which makes this recipe even more special to me.
