Bonnach Strughain

The 29th of September is Michaelmas, signifying the end of the harvest, the start of autumn and the beginning of the shorter days. On the Hebridean islands of Uist and Barra, to celebrate Latha Fhèill Mìcheil it is traditional to bake a Bonnach Strughain the evening before.
