Picture this: soft and fluffy buns infused with the sweet, earthy flavours of carrots and generously spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg. Can you already smell the amazing aroma wafting from your oven? These are classic Easter treats, but without the cross these would grace your table at any time of year.
In a pan, heat the milk gently until it begins to simmer. Add the butter and leave it to cool slightly.
Add the flour, sugar, yeast, salt and spices to a large bowl.
When the milk has cooled to lukewarm, make a well in the centre of the flour mixture, pour the milk in and add the beaten egg.
