  • About

One typically associates empanadas with Argentina, and they are massively popular in the land of the tango. They made their way to South America with the conquistadors from Spain and are famously Galician. A Galician empanada is a pan-size pastry, filled with sundry ingredients, the most notable of which are tuna and tomato. An empanadilla, on the other hand, is the diminutive form, and the smaller they are, the more diverse the possible fillings in one meal.
