  • 1 ( lb/1.5 kg) brisket
  • 8-10 cloves

Method

Place the meat in a heavy skillet. Add the garlic, onions, shallots, all the spices, vinegar & brown sugar.

Add enough water to cover the meat. Bring to a boil, lower the heat, and let simmer for 1½ hours or until the meat feels firm. Add the vegetables and boil gently until al dente.
