For the béchamel

  • 20 g ( oz/4 teaspoons) butter

Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F/Gas 4).

First make the béchamel sauce: melt the butter in a thick-bottomed pot. Fold in the flour and cook briefly. Stir carefully, blend in the cream until the mixture thickens. Simmer briefly while stirring. Remove from heat, season with salt
