Sage can be used everywhere. It acts as an antiseptic and is therefore good for a sore throat or pain in your mouth or around your teeth. Sage calms the nervous system and also controls blood pressure and promotes digestion.

All the more reason to make a cuppa!

Ingredients

  • 15 g (½ oz) fresh sage (small sprig)
  • zest of ½ lemon

Method

Bring 1 litre (4 cups) of water to a boil. Add the ingredients and simmer on low heat for a few minutes. Remove from the heat and allow the tea to brew for at least 20 minutes. Strain before pouring.
