Coffee liqueur can be easily made at home and what is great is that you can drink it the same day. It’s a drink for those of us who tend to be impatient.

Ingredients

  • 750 g (26 oz/ cups) sugar: ½

Method

In a saucepan, bring the sugar, water, coffee and vanilla to a boil. Reduce for nearly 1 hour on a very low heat to a thick syrup. Allow the syrup to slightly cool. Remove the vanilla beans. Careful, they may still be hot!

Swiftly add the vodka and stir into a smooth liqueur. Immediately pour through a funnel into bottles and seal. You can strain the liqueur through cheesecloth or a cof
