Making marzipan is very easy.

And once you have made a considerable quantity you will find that you can do all sorts of things with it. You can cover it with chocolate, for example. Instead of water you can also use liqueur or add colouring agents. It freezes easily, so make a lot of it!

Ingredients

  • 250 g (8 oz/ cups) blanched almonds
  • 250

Method

Finely grind the almonds in a food processor. (Or use ground almond meal.) Sift the icing sugar over them and add a few drops of water or other liquid. Knead the marzipan by hand into a supple and smooth dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and allow to rest in the refrigerator for a few hours.
