- 3 lbs. pears, whatever type is readily available
- 1–2 teaspoons powdered ginger (adjust to taste)
- Peel, remove cores, and grind or chop the pears very finely. A food processor may be used but leave a little texture. Measure 4 cups of fruit and put into a large pan.
