  • 2 cups brown sugar

  1. Wash the prunes and drain well.
  2. Make a syrup by combining the brown sugar, cider vinegar, cinnamon sticks, and whole cloves in a pan large enough to hold the prunes. Wash and remove the large ends from the lemon, cut in half lengthwise, slice thinly crosswise, and remove seed. Add to the pan.
