This is a medium chutney.


  • ½ lb. dried peaches
  • ½ lb. dried apricots

  1. Chop the fruits and garlic. Mix together and grind. A food processor might work but you want a fairly smooth paste when done.
  2. In a kettle, combine fruit, with the sugar (more for a sweeter sauce), spices, pepper, vinegar, and fruit juice or water. Mix carefully and, stirring often, cook slowly, uncovered, until thick and soft, about 30 to 45 minutes. Seal in st
