  • 1 cup packed, chopped mixed dried fruit

  1. In a kettle, combine the chopped or ground fruit, raisins, and onion. Add the coarsely grated orange rind and the chopped fruit from between the membranes, the peeled and minced garlic clove, the spices, and horseradish. Stir in the water or juice starting with less and adding more as needed during the cooking.
