  • 2 standard-sized cans of peaches in light syrup (slices or halves)
  • water
  • ½ cup cider vinegar


  1. Drain the peaches, set the fruit aside, and measure the juices. Add water to make cups of liquid. Pour it into a saucepan and add vinegar, sugar, and spices.
  2. Bring the syrup to a boil and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Add the peaches and simmer 10 minutes more,
