Ingredients

  • canned beets cut as you wish (see the directions for amount)
  • 1 large yellow onion, peeled and sliced into half-rings
  • 2 cups beet juice

Method

  1. Drain and reserve the liquid from enough cans of beets, cut as desired, to make 2 quarts of beets. Set the beets aside and keep 2 cups of the juice for the syrup. Reserve the extra juic
