  • 2 large slim winter cucumbers or 1 english cucumber
  • 1 large white or yellow onion

Method

  1. Peel the cucumbers quarter lengthwise, remove the obvious seeds, and cut into chunks. If using an English cucumber, it is not necessary to peel first. Peel the onion, cut into quarters, and slice fairly thin, crosswise. Combine in a large bowl. Sprinkle the vegetables with the salt, mix, and let stand overnight.
