  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice, or to taste
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon


  1. Boil the water and pour into a mug or cup. Add the lemon juice. Place a small strainer on the cup so that its bottom is submerged. Add the minced fresh ginger to the strainer and let steep for several minutes.
  2. Remove the strainer, add sugar or honey to taste, and enjoy.
