  • ½ cup mustard seed
  • ¼ cup


  1. Mix gently and store in a dark place tightly covered or in an opaque container. This makes a large amount of mixed spices, 3 to 4 cups. If you do a lot of pickling, mix it at the beginning of the season and hope to use it up. Spices do not go bad but they do loose flavor over time, so a year is about long enough to keep this mixture. The recipe can easily be cut in half
