Rich in antioxidants and nutrients but powerfully tart, cranberries will always need to be sweetened in recipes. Honey makes an excellent natural sweetener. Cranberry sauce is a staple on holiday tables, but don’t forget to use it as a relish for sandwiches or a zesty topping for pound cake.
Combine honey, zest, juice, and, if desired, cinnamon sticks in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until honey and juice are well blended.
