This sweet and savory tapas makes an enticing appetizer for a Mediterranean feast or a simple snack you can place over greens for a salad. To make it more filling, top with crumbled goat cheese or feta. If Marcona almonds are not available, sprinkle with olive oil-roasted whole almonds or toasted slivered almonds.

Ingredients

  • 5 red bell peppers
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Method

Preheat broiler. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Slice peppers in half and remove seeds. Arrange peppers, cut side down, on baking sheet. Broil 10 to 15 minutes or until skins are blackened and blistered. Let stand until cool enough to handle. Peel and discard skins.

Slice or tear peppers into wide pieces. Arrange on a serving platter.
