KATHY: All throughout middle and high school, my dad would pick me up after school and take me out to lunch. Well, it would be lunch for my dad, and second lunch for me. Back then I had the appetite of a football player—my dad would joke that I had another stomach hiding somewhere. New Lun Ting Cafe on Jackson Street in Chinatown, which serves Cantonese-influenced Western dishes, was always on our rotating list. We always went for the same three dishes: pork chop onion over
