KATHY: In my household, a jar of là jiàng in the fridge means you can throw together a million different dishes in less than five minutes. We use it as a topping, a condiment, a sauce, or a side. And just like hot sauce, you can enjoy it cold, straight out of the jar. You don’t even need to reheat it; simply add it to hot noodles, rice, congee, or toast and it will melt in.
