- 3 quarts water
- 1 tablespoon salt
- ½ pound
- Bring water and salt to a boil in a large kettle. Break noodles into 2-inch lengths. Add to kettle and boil until tender.
- If you have some French bread that is dried out, turn it into crumbs, or use whatever bread you have on hand.
- When noodles are done, drain, and pour onto a buttered oven-proof platter. Sprinkle with crumbs and spoon melted butter
